It's the second time we are testing the Linode $10 plan at vpsbenchmarks.com and same as the first time Linode got very good performances.
Some IOWait and CPU steal but that didn't affect the end result negatively. In fact it's good to see non zero CPU steal numbers as cpu steal exists on all VPS but is hidden by most providers. Linode is simply being more transparent by reporting it. Of course there is also the possibility that Xen, used by Linode, reports it while KVM does not.
Worth noting too is that the response time averaged per day was entirely stable for the entire duration of the test with 10% variation between the fastest and the slowest day. Overall, the Linode $10 plan performed just a hair slower than DigitalOcean 10$ plan that we tested just a month ago.
Lastly, the VM was available within a minute or 2 of being ordered, which is remarkable.
